Father’s Letter

father's letter

Dear Princess,

Hello, most beautiful one. It’s good to be able to share with you again this month. I hope you are managing your thought life well. God has a whole lot of good things to say about you. Remember, God’s thoughts toward you are more in number than the sand at the beach. I guess you could say they’re just about infinite.

In this letter I’d like to encourage you.

Imagine yourself driving down the highway and all of a sudden you come across a roadblock. It’s not a roadblock that the highway crew put there. It got there by some other means. Obviously I’m not referring to a physical encounter with a roadblock. I’m using it as an analogy to talk about the cares of life that rise up and stop you in your tracks, or so you think.

So there you are at the roadblock. You stop and get out of the car and go check it out. It’s a roadblock that is a 3-foot high wood barricade, which is easily removable by one person. You take a look at it and say to yourself, “I can take care of this”. You pick it up and move it to the side of the road and then get back in your car to continue your drive. Just like removing that roadblock ourselves there are many things in life that get in the way and we just deal with them. Maybe we’re not including God as much as we should. Nevertheless, they don’t pose any real problems. They’re just part of living life.

Well, suppose when you get out of the car to check it out, you realize it isn’t a regular kind of roadblock. This roadblock is a boulder 20 feet in diameter. You aren’t going to move it on your own. It doesn’t look like you can drive around it. You can turn around and find another route to your destination, but you are so close to getting to where you were headed. Well, you’ve thought of all of the possibilities and you don’t have a clue on how to get past it. You ask God for help in removing it from your life. A little time goes by and you ask Him again, and again, and again. Why hasn’t this situation been removed already?

I don’t want to speculate as to why your roadblock hasn’t moved. There could be numerous reasons why you haven’t had success with this roadblock. There is one thing that I do know – God has already provided the answer to remove it. God has provided the answer to every situation you might face in life. It’s up to us to draw near to Him and find out what He’s up to and get the answer.

Some roadblocks seem to move within hours. Others seem to take months or years. No matter how long it takes to get victory in your life in this area, continue in faith and remove all doubt from your mind and have confidence in God. You have no idea, but you might be moments from your breakthrough. Maybe the next corner you step around has your breakthrough.

I have included a few passages from the Bible to encourage you to keep going and never stop. There are many Bible verses that I haven’t included, but could have. Don’t just read these and forget them. I’d encourage you to meditate on them and let the Holy Spirit minister them to you.

Romans 8:37-39 NKJ

37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 91:1-4 NKJ

1    He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2    I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;

My God, in Him I will trust.”

3    Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the £fowler

And from the perilous pestilence.

4    He shall cover you with His feathers,

And under His wings you shall take refuge;

His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

5    You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,

Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

6    Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,

Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJ

6Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

In the next couple of verses we normally read them in a more literal translation, but I’ve included them in the Message version, because it’s meaning stays intact, but hopefully with better understanding.

Jeremiah 29:11 Message

11I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Matthew 11:28 Message

28“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.

Your situation could be big or small, last for a day or hang on for a long time, it doesn’t matter what it looks like to God. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. He is able to deliver you from your enemy’s hand.

Remember, our fight is not in the natural things. It’s a spiritual fight and that’s how the devil comes at us. So stay in the game. Manage your thought life. Do what the Bible says to do and take captive all thoughts “to the obedience of Christ”. Your roadblock will soon become your breakthrough. “C’mon Now.”

Be blessed and remember “You Amazin”.

Love, John
